Stella Chisenga aged 24 married with one child lives in Busa. She has been a member of a SILC group for two years. During that time she has taken out three loans. With the first for K150 or £16, she bought flour and made fritters and after repaying the loan and interest of 25% she made 100% profit. With her first loan this year she doubled her loan and the profit was 120%. Her second, and current is K600 or £36 and bought dried fish from a nearby dam. She expects to sell them all in the lifetime of the loan which is one month. Stella saves her profits for purchasing inputs and ground nut and soya seed. Her vision to achieve in three years is to have written the grade 12 examination and be ready to train as a teacher.
